What is an Ethscription?
Ethscriptions are a protocol for creating digital artifacts directly on Ethereum using calldata, making them more gas-efficient and permanently stored on-chain. PEGASUS leverages this technology for immutable, decentralized ownership.

3Gameplay & Mechanics
How does the mutation system work?
Mutations are triggered through gameplay actions, staking duration, and strategic decisions. Each mutation can enhance your Pegasus's abilities, alter its appearance, or unlock new trait combinations. Some mutations carry infection risks that add strategic depth.
What are faction battles?
Faction battles are non-violent cyber confrontations where Pegasi compete for surveillance dominance and data control. Outcomes are influenced by trait combinations like Encryption Level, Entity Class, and Interface Control. Winners gain rankings, lore unlocks, and upgrade paths.
Can my Pegasus die or be permanently damaged?
No permanent death, but infections can temporarily weaken your Pegasus. Quarantine mechanics exist to manage infection spread and recovery.
What is fusion?
Fusion allows you to combine two Pegasus entities to create a new one with inherited traits. The original NFTs are burned in the process, creating deflationary pressure while enabling rare trait combinations.

How many trait categories exist?
10 core trait categories: Body Type, Background, Hair Style, Outfit, Circuit Pattern, Pegasus Companion, Surveillance Device, Aura Effect, Symbolic Overlay, and Rarity Marker.
What are the rarity tiers?
Five rarity tiers: Common (45%), Uncommon (30%), Rare (15%), Ultra Rare (8%), and Legendary (2%). 1/1 Genesis pieces are exceptionally rare with unique trait combinations.
Can traits change after mint?
Yes, through the mutation system your traits can evolve and transform based on your gameplay decisions and strategies.

Which blockchain is PEGASUS on?
PEGASUS is built on Ethereum using the Ethscription protocol for gas-efficient, permanent on-chain storage.
Do I need a special wallet?
Any Ethereum-compatible wallet works (MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Rainbow, etc.). Make sure you have ETH for gas fees.
